          I purchased the tv brand new through Amazon and it was delivered to me on 9/8/2011. Perfect timing because that night was the kickoff to the NFL regular season. So I got to watch the Saints vs Packers game. Folks the picture on this Sony with the HUGE screen is simply breathtaking. This is right out of the carton with no calibration. I felt like I was on the field with the players. The mammoth 60 inch screen really does immerse you into the action. If your a football fan then you need the Sony KDL60NX720 3D LED HDTV. I haven't checked out the 3D yet but I will once I decide on what glasses to get. Can't wait to see an NCAA football game in 3D on ESPN.

Sony BRAVIA KDL55NX720 55-inch 1080p 3D LED HDTV with Built-in WiFi Review

I am extraordinarily pleased with this purchase. I replaced a 12 year old Pioneer Elite 62" rear projection HDTV that was too old to support HDMI. It had an incredible picture for most of it's life but was starting to dim and the convergence was going away. The Sony's picture quality is just superb. The contrast is as good as most of the plasmas I looked at. The Gorilla Glass really makes a difference. It has the nice glossy look but no glare. It is far better in this regard than my Pioneer was. I still can't believe how thin it is when I walk past it. The off-angle viewing is really good as well. I've read that LCDs struggle in that area but I can't tell with this one.

I have an older Onkyo home theater receiver and I opted to connect all my HDMI sources (PS3, XBOX 360, Cable, Apple TV) to the TV and ran optical digital audio to the Onkyo. It just worked. My Logitech Harmony One controller had no issues controlling it.

The price really sealed the deal. At most places I looked the price was $750 higher than what I paid. I was worried about buying a TV online but the delivery was uneventful.

Sony BRAVIA KDL46NX720 46 inch 1080p 3D LED HDTV with Built-in WiFi Review

Well, my son loaned me his 40 inch TV to take the place of my 5 year old 30 inch TV. I loved the bigger TV because it was so much easier on my aging eyes. I loved that bigger TV...for a solid 8 days, until it broke. I couldn't simply go back to my 30 incher, so I finally bit the bullet and purchased this TV. After watching it for a week or so, I am very glad I did so.

The setup was reasonably easy and quick. The TV found my network and connected with no problems. The Internet setup of this TV is somewhat different than that of the Sony Blu-ray I purchased to accompany the TV. The Blu-ray allows me to easily access Amazon's free-to-Prime customers downloads of movies and TV shows. I haven't been able to figure out how to make the TV access as easy. Of course, I don't "need" the TV access because I have access via the Blu-ray player, but in some sense it would still be nice if I could use the TV itself for access. I don't (yet) subscribe to Netflex or similar services, so unfortunately I have no comment on their ease of use. Edited to add: After the TV updated itself (very easy!) it no longer was able to connect to the Internet. My computer-expert son had to manually connect it. If I was able to subtract a halof-star so that the rating was 4.5 stars, I would do so.

The instruction book is on the skimpy side. Thankfully there is an "i-manual" on the TV itself, which is handy. Still, I guess I'd have liked more detail in the print manual, especially about issues such as setting up Internet access. On the plus side, the TV just finished up-dating its software with no glitches, so I know that my Internet access is at least semi OK.

The picture on the TV seems significantly brighter than that on the old TVs. I like this feature. A feature that takes a bit more to get used to is how the TV handles scenes with rapid (or, even in some cases, not so rapid) motion. Often the people or objects seem to "glide" across the scene. It's hard to describe but I think that once you see it, you'll understand. Presently this effect is somewhat jarring, but as I've watched more on the TV, this effect has become somewhat less disconcerting. Perhaps ultimately I'll grow accustomed to it.

The TV definitely runs much cooler than did my 5-year old 30 inch TV or, especially, the 4-year old 40 inch TV. I expect that this difference is due to the use of LCDs as the light source. Given that I live in Florida, this heat saving is hugely appreciated.

One drawback is that the package did not include any 3-D glasses. Because I doubt I'll ever watch much (or any) 3-D at home, this point does not bother me.

Amazon's delivery was first class. The TV even came a day earlier than initially promised. Of course, unless you live next door to me and get the same delivery person, your mileage may vary.

Another huge advantage has been Amazon's low-price guarantee. Merely by checking on Amazon's web page, I have (so far) saved slightly more than $250 by submitting multiple "found a lower price" link to Amazon. Perhaps if I was more ambitious and looked at still more websites, I could save even more, but checking Amazon's alone is just so easy....

EDIT: As I have gained experience with the TV, I'd subtract another half star (and be down to 4 stars) due to frustrating Internet access and even more annoying Sony help. At 12:00 noon today, the Internet access was fine. We watched a free-to-Amazon Prime customer TV show. But at 6:30, with absolutely no changes, it failed. After 30 minutes of repeatedly successfully connecting to my network and the Internet(at least according to the TV) and still being unable to access Amazon I decided to use the apparently helpful Sony help screen built into the TV. There was a nice 800 number, which I dialed...only to discover that 7:10PM Eastern time is "after hours" for Sony help and if I wanted to talk to someone, I had to call some other long-distance number. I decided I'd call tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed...

          I was watching this set at Sams for a couple months as it dropped in price. Every time I would go there, I would stop and watch Tron Legacy 3D and be totally amazed.
          When the price dropped to $1,820, I finally gave in and bought it, and it was the last one. One my way out the door, A man walking in with his wife pointed to it and said "That's it, that's the one we're here to buy". sorry buddy.
          Anyway, after getting it home, I was amazed how easy it was to remove from the box. The clips are a great idea and they allow you to disassemble the box instead of having to rip out staples. When you're done, you can reassemble the box and store it, just in case you have to return it.
          The picture quality, being HD 120hz, is totally amazing. This set replaces a 55" plasma. HD is much sharper and brighter now.
          Initial setup was easy. Only problem is that it apparently doesn't know that Vizio sells a 3d Blu-Ray player, so I can't program the remot for it.
          The remote is a slider with keyboard for internet apps.
          It comes with 4 pair of passive glasses, but Amazon sells more pretty cheap.
3d pic is amazing. depending on what you are watching, it sometimes fuzzes out and hurts your eyes. But we sat through 3 movies back to back without much eyesore. Best movie so far is Resident Evil: Afterlife. It has a lot of "whoah!" scenes that my daughter constantly replays.
Another amazing feature is no heat! My plasma heats up the entire living room, where this thing gives off practically no heat at all!
          We did have trouble with the audio at first, but after reading a couple reviews, replaced the hdmi cables with the new v1.4(?) style, and now the audio is amazing.
          Not sure why Sams was selling it so cheap, but do your homework and look around for the best pricing.
          My entire family loves it!
          I see no degradation from various viewing angles or distances. But I agree with the 10' minimum. It still looks good even from 2' away, but it will hurt your eyes.
The 3d channels on DirecTV have awesome shows, but not much selection. The free ones show the same shows over and over. Still waiting to see if ESPN 3D wil broadcast any NFL games. As of week 2, they haven't.

The XVT3d554SV is fantastic. I have had it only 1 week and it's great. Have not used 3D yet, but 2D is stunning. The colors and clarity is amazing. Setup was easy. The WIFI was easy to setup also. The 55" was a perfect choice. Watching HD is like being there in person.

Would I recommend this TV.... Yes

Vizio? Riiight. I thought the same thing until I had to return 2 consecutive Samsungs due to dead or stuck pixels. Ok, frak it, let's try Visio, the stats are good on paper.

To make a long story short this TV delivers, old school style--awesome performance and stats without the name brand premium. I wouldn't trade back for the Samsung, dead pixels or no. 5 stars. A lot of detail went into this.

Have had the Visio XVT3D42SV TV a little over a month and have had zero problems. The 42" TV was the largest that would fit in the wall cut-out in my den--otherwise, I would have bought the 55" version. The setup instructions were clear and easy to follow. Connected to the internet via wireless and to my netflix account with no problems. Color and sharpness are excellent. As one reviewer noted, however, you need to turn off the feature that automatically adjusts the picture for ambient light--picture too dark until I turned off that feature (in "TV Settings"). Have not used the 3D feature so cannot comment on that.

My one negative is the sound, just barely adequate. However, last weekend I bought the VIZIO VHT510 5.1 Surround Sound Home Theater with Wireless Subwoofer ($300). What an amazing difference in sound quality--but the soundbar setup instructions are poor (unlike the TV instructions). My sound bar sits in front of the TV and connects wirelessly to the subwoofer which is behind the listening area (in a corner--recommended). Two additional speakers connect via wires to the subwoofer. Works perfectly for my room arrangement. Reviewers have noted some issues with the soundbar (related only to LED malfunctions) but so far I have seen none of them. I sometimes have a problem separating dialog from the background music, traffic, explosions, etc. The soundbar solved that problem. I hear dialog much better now. And the bass can vibrate the room furniture.

The two Visio products produce a very nice listening and viewing experience.

The apps are nice. Better than TiVo apps, better than my Blu-Ray's apps.

240Hz is nice! (weird at first)

Remote is bluetooth, so you don't have to point it at TV.

Full LED backlighting, not edge only like Samsungs.

Happy with this purchase.

          I like the TV. I told my wife "it makes me fell like we were watching our old TV through cheesecloth". But, I find the remote very inconvenient. The buttons are so small and must be hit just right or they do not register. That is a real challenge with the digital numbers where there are more than two numbers and some need the dash or period between numbers. I bought a $12 remote to change channels that works like a charm for that and is backlit on top of it. If I need to use the menu, I use the TV remote. The TV has a great picture and we are happy with it.

I spent days researching different models and reading both professional and customer reviews before choosing this TV. I made the right choice!

The picture is superb HD quality, it's easy to set up and use, and the features are fabulous. I wanted a TV that connected to the Internet using my home network and let me view Netflix easily (rather than hooking up my laptop to the TV as I had done before to watch a movie) as well as cable, DVDs, etc. I was astonished at how simple this was to set up, and how well everything works.

I also like the remote with the mini-keyboard!

All in all, I'm totally satisfied with my purchase and I heartily recommend it.

          I bought this tv for the bedroom and could not be happier with it. I received it on 16 September 2011 and really enjoy what it's capable of. The main reason for this tv was the Netflix capability and having the wireless antenna built it is by far the only way to go for future tvs. Picture is sexy smooth and just as nice as my 120hz 46" Samsung I bought almost 2 years ago. The remote feels cheap, especially the sliding keyboard but we won't put heavy use on it anyway. Mounted to the wall and it looks great and is quite light for all the features it has. Speakers are not as bad as I was expecting, meaning I thought I was going to need a surround sound to hear this but it puts out some good mid range and high frequencies well. Bass of course won't be something you buy this for anyway.

          Got the tv for an amazing price (800 less than regular price) and couldn't be happier. I am upgrading from a 40 inch Sony v3000 that I nought 4 years ago. That tv was amazing. But granted I didn't know much about tvs back then. Later I learned all about ghosting and clouding and found out my tv had it too except I am not really sensitive to it. But I decided the next tv I am gonna get, I will make sure it's as flawless as it can be. Wanted to get the hx929 but it was a bit out of my price range so I went for the hx820 instead. I saw the previous version hx800 last year and got that one for a friend. That tv was the best tv price vs performance wise according to many pro websites, and hx820 is supposed to improve over that too. So it was a blind purchase for me. Never saw this tv at a store and directly ordered it from amazon. Got it a week later with no shipping damage. They helped me to unpack it and plugged it in too to check if it's working. The first thing I said after looking at the tv was damnnn that looks soooo sexy. The monolithic design is just amazing. Anyway I set it up and started watching some local hd channels over the antenna and found the picture a bit too over saturated and grainy (and I am not picky at all so I was surprised at how bad the picture is to even make me notice..he'll even my mom noticed it and said something is wrong with the color. And thus began my very first try to calibrate a tv.
          The few reviews that came out for this tv, only one of them mentioned calibration settings tvinfo.com or something. And there settings sucked even more (no wonder they rated the tv low since they didn't know how to calibrate themselves). So I went to cnet's hx929 review and used it's setting. And wow..the improvement was just mind boggling. But I knew that's a local dimming tv and I have to calibrate it more to make it look even better. But I decided to do it at night with lights turned off so that I can check the clouding and flash lighting too.
          So in the dark I was able to see some flash lighting and very little clouding but wasn't alarmed coz I know every edge lit LCD and LEDs will have it. It's inherent to the technology they use.. So I started playing with the settings again..specially backlight and brightness and I got rid of 99% of the flash lighting and all of clouding. And then I wanted to see how this setting look in the morning and found out it's a bit too dark. So more playing with settings again and finally I was able to find that perfect balance in black level...color..no flash lighting and clouding ...in short AMAZING PICTURE.
          Among other things..I believe it handles motion well although I am not sensitive to it. The viewing angle isn't the best, it tends to lose contrast at 30 degrees and at 60 degrees it's quite noticeable but it's true for all lcds and not a big concern for me. Some pro reviews mentioned problems with fast motion in blu ray at 1080p 24p although no USERS
          3D looks amazing although I am not a big 3 D person. S will hardly use it. Sound is terrible. Even my mom noticed it. So u probably need some external audio system. The extra Internet features are handy and there are plenty of them if you want to use them. I don't. I have it connected to my Mac (htpc)with hdmi and it works flawlessly in 1080p.
          All I will say is spend some time adjusting settings and it will look like a million bucks. If you are scared to mess with the settings get a pro calibrator. It will be worth it to extract 100% from what this tv can offer. Hope I have covered anything. Lave a comment if you have other questions and I will try to answer it to the best of my knowledge.

          This KDL46HX820 Bravia is absolutely wonderful. I got it very quickly through Amazon's great shipping department (3 days after ordering it). It took a total of 10 minutes to unpack, attach the base, and make it through the setup process. Linking my Netflix and Amazon streaming video was a snap also. The sound is very good, for just using the TV speakers alone. I am going to set it up with a home theater system as soon as I decide on witch one to buy. I have an LG sound-bar that I used on the Samsung TV that this one replaced, but I want to go for a true home theater system. I did not run into any problems with the picture quality, in fact, the 2D system is the best that I have ever had (I have not used the 3D yet, and probably won't for a while, though I did get one pair of Sony active 3D glasses with it.) The local dimming has shown no problems that were reported in some of the reviews for this set. This is the second Sony TV that I have owned, the other one was a rear projection 50" that I purchased some 5 years ago and that I replaced with the Samsung LED TV that this one replaced. My experience with that TV was not as good as this one, and I was a little apprehensive when I first ordered it. I am glad I chose to ignore some of the reviews that had been posted that gave it poor marks for the local dimming and am glad I did. I would highly recomend this TV to anyone wishing to have a 46" class TV. I am confident that it will last me a very long time.

What is Wi Fi?

The wireless technology, or "wireless", is capable of transferring data between personal computers using a signal based on high frequency radio waves. The communication is ensured by the use of appropriate devices, interfaced with our desktop or notebook PC, capable of transmitting and receiving radio signals.

The technologies used in the creation of wireless networks are essentially two: Narrowban and Spread Spectrum. The first is less common and constrained by the fact that users take advantage of well-defined radio frequencies, limiting the bandwidth within a very small range. The transmitted signal with the FHSS mode is characterized by the fact that its frequency is changed continuously in time according to a well defined sequence known only to those who must, of course, receive the transmitted data, which will have to "synchronize" with the broadcaster, in It's like being connected to a computer network, but does not require any cables. It allows to distribute the Internet connection in any room of the house, all without telephone jacks.

And 'Wi-Fi, the wireless digital connectivity technology that extends and enhances the capabilities of local networks. The maximum spread of Wi-Fi will be right in the home, where a cable passing from one room to another is often a problem and sometimes a nightmare.

The first family of standards IEEE 802.11 (IEEE Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the reference protocol for WLANs, dates back to 1977 and guaranteed data transmission speed in a very limited and equal to about 1 or 2 Mbps Since 1977, this protocol has undergone continuous changes until they reach the current version, IEEE 802.11b, also known as Wi-Fi, that is the mark that shows the devices that allow for digital communications with its own protocol.

          I'm happy the price dropped by around a thousand over the last month or two, because for the money you will not find a better LED tv, I have been looking for months.
          For starters, I returned my third 55HX820 back to amazon because of damage or defect, who knows, or maybe it was Sony's QC. Now that I've had this unit for a couple of weeks I am glad I things turned out the way they did. The problem I felt was with one of the shippers Amazon contracts with, since they weren't handling or setting up these TVs properly.
          The picture quality, build quality, and finishing are outstanding, and there is a metal bezzel wrapped around the frame that gives it a nice touch, you wouldn't notice it though unless you're standing close to the unit. The stand is also among the nicest I've ever seen, I have an issue with the crow's feet stands of Samsung's LEDs like the 8000, I was never able to look past these esthetic nuances, but if you're staring at something you are paying 2-3 k for on a daily basis, these little things will begin to matter.
          Now for the picture quality; having seen the sony, samsung, and LG flagship TVs side by side at best buy, I was leaning towards sony from the start, samsung's picture struck me as more of a "home movie" type delivery, and LG's, as nice and as sharp as they are, just paled a bit compared with the Sony, and since they're much cheaper, you can always argue that little added extra screen and display quality may not be enough to justify the disproportionately higher price tag. This argument obviously didn't influence my purchase decision.
          Yes I have issues with glare when watching during the day, and the UN user-friendly remote and the internet features that could be better, but who cares, this TV delivers in the areas where it absolutely and categorically must, picture quality. I don't get it with all the bells and whistles manufacturers tout about their new LEDs, internet apps, widgets this, widgets that, keyboard on a remote??? if you're buying TVs in this price range you probably have a laptop, use it.
          At the end of the day it all comes down to this: For watching movies in 2 D and 3 D (yes the 3 D works great, no issues), the XBR929 delivers quite an experience, you will know and feel where the extra money you spent has gone!

The product was easy to order on Amazon and delivery was set up, with an appointment, and
they arrived exactly as scheduled. TV was unloaded, unpacked, plugged in and they waited
until I was satisfied that it worked.

The XBR46HX929 is an absolutely awesome TV. It was very easy to set up, with instructions
right on the TV. It progressed without a glitch. The picture is magnificent and the smart
features all work as advertised.

The only negative, is the Owners Manual. It is very abbreviated. A detailed manual is
available via a button on the remote, but it would have been helpful if the printed manual
was more inclusive.

Overall, a real 5 star product and service from Amazon.

          This tv will blow you away. It seems to have everything. It does not have the ability to use the "passive" type glasses for 3D. You are forced to purchase the "Active Shutter" type of glasses. These are alot more expensive. The other problem is that the remote is using IR signals that are hard to duplicate. This is an issue if you plan on haveing a remote programed to replace the need for multiple remotes. I use a Logitech and it is able to be updated via internet. Even with that capibility i have been unable to duplicate its signal. This is the first time i have experienced this problem. As far as price is concerned! You can get a much larger 3D TV for the price. I needed a TV that would fit in a 29.6 inch opening and was forced to purchase this unit. There are 65in units available in the same price range. If you do buy this one make sure you adjust the sound from the factory settings. It will sound pretty bad when you first plug it in. And unfortunatly they thought it would be a good idea to put the plug ins and jacks up high on the TV. It does cause the need for longer cables.

          Here's an update to to my initial review below: I've now had it a week and still REALLY like it a lot.. Makes watching TV so much better.. but the main things i figured out and an very impressed with are: the DLNA and Apple AirPlay.. DLNA simply took enabling streaming the DLNA D30 net under Win Media Player .. but the GUI on the TV is what amazed me most. It's very fast to find and fill the directory and even tho i have tens of thousands of folders back to 1980, it sorts them all by date, name and preference (favorites) and builds a directory VERY fast on screen with good playback control to pause, fast forward etc during playback of content from your PC's hard drive (only thing I really miss is the means to rotate the video 180 degrees on playback).. It plays all the formats (unlike if playing from USB) including .mp4, .avi. .wmf and AVHCD camcorder all seem to play and handle the audio fine.. The other exceptionally cool thing that worked just fine with the iPhones and iPad was the Remote app ( that lets you navigate the TV options vis any iPhone /iPad.. and AirPlay.. is really great option if you have HBO GO or any number of videos and pictures on these devices ( or your friends ).. it plays any picture slideshows or video with AirPlay, along with the audio just fine up on this TV.. it's great.
          Yes, it's so cool to be able to take a huge batch of pictures ( tho it does not do Movies) in the Viera Connect app, then post and sync them on Picasa with one click.. .. then play them as a slideshow on this TV in the living room with background music.. but now i can also do the same via AirPlay and pick my own Pandora channel audio too.
          When i reviewed it last i had not set up the Logitec Harmony Remote .. and that works flawlessly too .. I have the Cox Cable Settop Box on HDMI 1, BlueRay on HDMI2, Apple TV on HDMI 3 and "all others" on a 5 way switch coming in HDMI 4.. that works great and a single button turns the TV, set top box, and AV switch ON or all three OFF.. and controls the volume displaying TVo'd content and channels etc.. from the Harmony remote. i have the older Logitec Harmony similar to the model 520 available now.
          Could it do even MORE? .. yes I'd like a web browser, and a few other things but this TV is a huge step forward for me.. and am very pleased.

          One of the great things about Panasonic's new LED HDTV high end line (D30 & DT30) is the low input lag. This is something that gets ignored in a majority of LCD & LED HDTV reviews because quite honestly most LCD/LED HDTV's have bad input lag. The average joe may not notice but it's there. However with the D30 & DT30 models input lag is extremely good. (Around 30 MS and lower depending on your set which is amazing for a HDTV that isn't a plasma)
          Picture quality is fantastic and the design has finally caught up with the times. (panasonic is notorious for having great displays but crappy aesthetics)
          Most importantly if you Game ALOT like me this and the DT30 line is the best HDTV's you will find that won't gimp your play.

This TV has been wonderful for us and unlike the other person that posted a negative review I have had no issues with it (if I do I will come back and edit this review).

The only flaw in the design of the TV is the inability to remove the power cable from the back of the TV. This isn't an issue if you are just placing it on top of a table but when you want to mount it on a wall and hide the cables this will be an issue.

My work around was to run an extension cord through the wall and plug the TV power cable into the extension cord when mounting it. Thankfully the TV has a nice "Cord Wrapper" built into the back.

          The Panasonic HD TVs receive very good reviews both here on Amazon and on other sites. I am not going to go into all the details that are already in the other reviews since I don't find redundancy useful. I purchased this model after viewing the 32 $ 37 inch versions in local stores. I couldn't find the 42 inch model locally so I ordered from Amazon at what I consider a fair price along with the free return policy. The set is performing flawlessly after a month and a half. Both my wife and I are very happy with the picture and over all performance. We added a Blu Ray player and 1080p discs look excellent. I don't have a negative thing to report at this time. I haven't upgraded to a home theater system yet so I can't comment either way on external audio system compatibility.

          I received this about a week ago. It was given to me by the company I work for, for an anniversary present. Since I'm not much of an gadget person anymore, I didn't really care what it was, it was free after all.
          It has been working great. Setup took about 20 minutes, and I was impressed that with the high quality workmanship. All tv's I've seen in the past have been made of plastic, this one was a real surprise.
Since I haven't had cable for 14 years, saving me thousands of dollars, I can't comment on that kind of reception. However, since this tv has a decoder in it, it found 23 free channels, and it did it with the antenna resting on the carpet, rabbit ears to us older folks.
          The picture is crystal clear.
          Would be happier with larger, louder speakers. My old home theater system does not allow for the new and improved I'm told HDMI hookups.
So, now I have the opportunity to spend thousands more for updated AV components, which I have no intention of doing. So, I'll never be able to use all the functions this tv has, but as a tv, it's the best one I've ever owned.
          To use my old Pioneer AV equipment, I must go through the existing setup, and use the signal from the settop digital box the government GAVE me for $50. All because of a single cable which is not compatible with OLD audio equipment that still works great. Not a big issue, but one that makes the decoder in the tv a big waste of resources.
          The pc hookup is also of no use to me. It found my laptop, but didn't know what to do with it. The SD card thingy is cute, tried it out just to see if it worked, it did.
          The only thing that would hook directly to this tv, is my DVD player. The rest had to use the ganged up method, and ran through the coaxial cable. But, they all still work.
          A nice tv, nice picture, nice sound even if low, pretty to look at, high quality workmanship, and free.
          Can't ask for more.
          Sorry if my review seems lackluster. It's just that for us old stoneage 50 year olds, it takes an awful lot to impress us, and be cheap too.
          I do recommend this tv.

          This tv is really good the colors are sharp and nice to look at, the video games are also good in this. I tried the connection with my laptop via the vga port but it was not really good then I use the hdmi port and everything becomes better. The only letdown is that it can't read subtitles in mkvs and doesn't support audio in some movies. Anyway I'm very happy with this product!

For 2011, Toshiba has developed a new series of TVs that link on the 'adoption of new technologies to more' avant-garde, as the new engine derived from the Cell Regza Cevo and support for 3D, a system of self-calibration, the panel backlight Led, the Toshiba Integrated Portal Places and a face recognition function.

But let's see in more detail.

          The Cevo Engine is a multi-core processor (7 core, which is accompanied by a special co-processor algorithms for image enhancement) directly derived from the cell (the heart of Sony's PS3, already used in the Toshiba Regza Cell) with several functions including the local dimming, functions Resolution +, Network + Resolution, Resolution + 3D and 2D-3D conversion.

          The innovative auto-calibration system consists of a probe connected to the TV via a USB port, via a "start" button on the remote control, launching a series of patterns to calibrate various parameters such as color temperature, greyscale, gamma and color space , and all the necessary corrections are made automatically.

          The LED backlight type Edge and Full. In particular, the technology is called the Full LED PROLED thanks to Local 512 and 3072 can control dimming LEDs in 512 groups divided into six independent zones, while technology is used, instead ProLed 32 with models that use Edge LED backlight, with two file LEDs on the shorter sides of the screen, and controls 32 different areas.

          Places Toshiba Portal is cloud-based platform accessible via web browser from a PC and TV through a dedicated user interface that lets you share content on your home network. In addition to Music Place, now Toshiba offers access to numerous services and content including Video Social Place and Place of PC and TV, and TV News Place Place on TV, and Game Place, Place and App Services Place on a PC.

          Personal TV: you can store up to 4 custom user profiles, each of which is set automatically by using an integrated webcam, combined with a facial recognition software that will allow the user recognition.
